Greater flexibility, increased transparency, and enhanced system integration: Maintenance Pack 02 for BOM Studio 2025 is now available. The update continues the ongoing development of this powerful, rule-based software solution for automated bill of materials creation.
The update focuses on optimizations along pipelines, workflows, and data sources.
Flexible Workflow Templates
BOM Studio workflows can now be adapted even more precisely to specific pipeline requirements using configurable attributes. Flexible workflow templates can be applied using placeholders for different attribute names, thereby increasing reusability.
Extended Data Source Support
In addition to Solid Edge and PDM Studio, BOM Studio now also supports SOLIDWORKS directly (not just via PDM Studio as before) and CSV via the file system. This greatly simplifies the integration of additional system landscapes.
Manual Pipeline Execution
In addition to event-based execution, pipelines can now also be started manually via the BOM client—for greater control and flexibility in operational use.
Greater Transparency For Test Data
The use of test data is now fully traceable: look up where test data is used, reuse the data in different pipelines and workflows, and preview it in context – so you can quickly determine the suitability of the test data!
Advanced Filter And Output Functions
A new status filter in the workflow overview (e.g., approved, in progress) provides a better overview. In addition, Excel is now available as another output format alongside CSV and XML.
