The first maintenance pack for PDM Studio 2026 is now available. MP01 primarily expands the capabilities related to classification while also adds tools for administration and support. Here are the most important new features:
Use classification characteristics flexibly as properties

Characteristics of classified documents can now be published as properties. This makes classification characteristics available, for example, for use in drawing title blocks.

In addition, drop-down lists with suggested values can now be configured for characteristics, just as with regular properties. This supports standardized entries and simplifies the maintenance of classification data.

Documents can now be classified during the import process. This eliminates the additional step that was previously required after import.
Improved tools for administration and support

The Metadata Miner now enables the targeted extraction of metadata from individual documents, for example, for support purposes.

In addition, the Log Reader has been revised to allow an even more targeted analysis of log data in the event of an issue.
Further optimizations
In addition to the new features mentioned above, Maintenance Pack #01 includes minor optimizations.
